The 2006 Robot Fighting League Championships. There was an event known as the "last chance qualifier" run on the 11th and the actual event took place on the 12th and 13th, however no information could be found about fights taking place at the pre-nationals last chance qualifier so an assumption has been made here that all robots simply competed at nationals

The 2006 Champs were the first and last time the event would be run with spinners allowed. The Roaming Robots arena had just been certified for high kinetic energy by the FRA however after a safety scare with scorpion half way through the competition the robot was no longer permitted to use its weapon. After this event spinners would not return to the UK live scene for over 10 years.
